Drone Med Coverage

For a small additional charge, Drone Med Crash Cover offers up to two repairs within one year. 

Drone Med Plus is a premium service which offers repairs at no additional repair fee and up to 2 repairs each year.

Hive Drone Med and Drone Med Plus is only available for purchase in the United Kingdom or Ireland.

Hive UAV Limited will not bear the responsibility of any shipping costs during the claim process.

  • DJI Phantom 4 Standard


Liquid damage will be covered under drone med if the aircraft or items are retrieved: Water damaged items will be repaired if not BRR (Beyond Reasonable Repair) but liquid damaged items will not come with a warranty due to the nature of the damage. PLEASE AVOID POWERING ON YOUR PRODUCT IF LIQUID DAMAGE IS PRESENT!

Salt Water Damage

Corrosion Caused by Liquid

In cases that replacement parts outway the value of the product

Hive UAV Limited Reserve the right to classify any item as BRR (beyond reasonable repair) if cost or replacement parts outway overall resell value.



Hive Drone Med and Drone Med Plus do not cover the following:

  • Lost aircraft.

  • Theft, forgotten or abandoned product.

  • Batteries, accessories, 3rd party parts and modified drones and/or controllers

  • Deliberate damage. (Pilot Error and Accidental Damage is covered)

  • Abrasions and shell damage that do not affect the performance of the product.

  • Abrasion or damage to the gimbal that does not affect the performance of the product.

  • Repair requests for damage incurred outside the period of validity.

  • General wear and tear or cosmetic damage that does not affect flight or performance.

  • Damage as a result of 3rd party or self-repair.


Claim Process:

Accident Occurs > Online Repair Request > Send to Hive Repair Centre > Pay Repair Fee (if applicable) > Products Repaired & Returned

All flight logs must be submitted at the point of claim via email or via access to DJI account details.

31 day cooling-off period applies to new Drone Med Services. Claims cannot be made within 31 days of Drone Med & Drone Med Plus purchase.

Hive UAV Limited Trading as ‘’Hive Drone Store’’ reserve the right to classify any drone as BRR (Beyond Reasonable Repair).

A drone can be classified as BRR (Beyond Reasonable Repair) when the value of the parts required for the repair outway the current retail value of the drone. The valuation will be determined by our engineers and is subject to change.

In the case of  BRR (Beyond Reasonable Repair) The customer will not have to pay the repair fee nor will it be classified as a claim.

Repair Service

Hive Drone Med includes two repairs per year for a small fee, Drone Med Plus includes up to 2 repairs per with no repair fee. If you claim for repair of your product twice under Drone Med, Hive shall be considered to have fully executed the Hive Drone Med Service. The Drone Med service will then be terminated.
After repair, the replaced parts becomes Hive Drone Stores property and the replacement parts are your property, with coverage effective for the remaining period of the Plan.

Drone Med & Drone Med Plus  is valid for 12 months.



 Drone Med and Drone Med Plus will be terminated without notice in the following situations:
1. The service has expired.
2. The aircraft or the gimbal has been repaired by a 3rd party or self-repaired
3. Drone Med includes two repairs. If you claim for repair of your product twice, Hive shall be considered to have fully executed the Drone Med service. The Drone Med service will then be terminated.
4. If the customer is found to have broken a Drone Med covered product on purpose, the service will be terminated automatically, and Hive will not offer a refund. If a customer is found to be causing accidents for financial gain, Hive reserves the right to take legal action.


Drone Med and Drone Med Plus can be transferred with product if Hive Drone Store is informed within 48 hours of sale of product                                                                                                                                                                                


You agree to provide Hive with your personal information, including but not limited to your name, email address, address, phone number and drone Serial Number for us to provide you with a better service. By applying for Drone Med and Drone Med Plus, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agreed the terms of service.

Please do NOT send SD cards or any other parts that are not in need of repair to Hive. Hive shall not be responsible for any damage, loss or personal information loss stored or saved in your product.
